Meijer Corporation
Dear Director;
The Holiday Helpers of Rochester Hills have a long history of Meijer’s helping our community, not only with our group, but with our entire city as well. Words cannot express our appreciation and how your corporation has single handily sustained us in many ways. We are so very proud of our store; Director, Tom Livernois and Medelin Villarama. They have touched our hearts with such generosity, kindness and thoughtfulness. It has been our indeed honor to work with such a wonderful team in our own Rochester Hills store. On Wednesday, they presented us with one hundred, $10.00 gift cards for our families. What an awesome gift, since back to school is just around the corner.
Our program began to help those less fortunate than ourselves in our community. We are all volunteer group and anonymous to our low income and seniors, which makes it fun. 100% of all donations, go right back into our city. Pride should never an option when you do not know where it is coming from. Our children and Senior’s only see Santa or the Easter Bunny etc., and they never seem to ask why me or where is this coming from and if by chance they do, we just never tell.
We make sure that no one is alone or forgotten. On our travels to deliver Christmas last year and the massive food baskets purchased with our Meijer gift cards, we saw many tears; smiles and one mom told me, “some people do not believe in angels, but then, they have never met you”. Another said “I have nothing for my children” until we arrived. “Bless you and our community for caring about us” said yet another with tears streaming down her face. Thanks to our community and sponsors such as Meijer, the children (and seniors too) can see there really is a Santa Claus and in many ways you are our Santa all year long.
It is our community program, we will continue to help them in any way we can throughout the year. Again, thank you for reaching out to help those less fortunate with your very generous donations and especially the time and heart of your wonderful employee’s. All of what we do could not be accomplished without Meijer. Thank you for making the lives of our neighbors easier and help them embrace the joy of our community and special feeling of caring all year long. We salute your corporation and your heroism for our city and its residents.
Sincerely,
Suzanne L. White, Executive Director.
